• Ability to effectively work with children and youth and young adults in a physically and emotionally demanding environment for 6-7 weeks

Program Crew (PC) is made up of eight to twelve young men who have just completed their junior year of high-school. It is a volunteer support staff position which provides service to LLFC and its campers and staff. PC members must be willing to work long, hard days, be team players, and have a desire to grow. They are directly managed by two PC Bosses.

Program Crew plays a critical role in the ministry of camp by contributing to the overall efficiency of our entire program. PC is responsible for assisting and supporting the daily operations of Family Camp. PC members will be directly involved in facility operations (food transport, trash collection and transport, etc.) as well as program event set-ups and breakdowns. PC members must also be flexible about assignments related to camp needs as they occur.

The Program Crew experience is also designed with the growth of the participant in mind. PC members will be challenged to grow through group sharing and discussions, Bible study, opportunities to let loose and have fun, as well as through the experience of working hard on a team.

Work Crew (WC) is made up of eight to twelve young women who have just completed their junior year of high-school. It is a volunteer support staff position which provides service to LLFC and its campers and staff. Work Crew members must be willing to work long, hard days, be team players, and have a desire to grow. They are directly managed by two Work Crew Bosses.

Work Crew plays a critical role in the ministry of camp by demonstrating LLFC’s passion for hospitality, service and care for everyone at camp. Work Crew is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and the Ranch House as well as serving meals and cleaning dishes. Work Crew may also be called upon to serve in other capacities as needs arise.

The Work Crew experience is also designed with the growth of the participant in mind. Work Crew members will be challenged to grow through group sharing and discussions, Bible study, opportunities to let loose and have fun, as well as through the experience of working hard on a team.

The foundational position at camp! Direct ministry to the campers is carried on primarily though counselors just like you! Counselors bring the fun by building relationships with families while facilitating a wide variety of camp activities and events. This may include family activity, family project, rodeo, late night events, Kid’s Night Out, kids’ and youth devotional, and more.

By receiving training and certifications, they learn to guide many camp activities including ones like archery, tomahawk throwing, arts & crafts, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, and more. In-depth training is also offered for activities like High Ropes, Shooting Sports, and Lifeguarding. Because of the flexibility of choosing some areas to receive certifications, as well as the many ages and types of campers that come to camp, this position is a great choice for almost any personality type and skill set!

Working on a small team, cooks share responsibility for daily preparation and presentation of camp meals. In this role you will delve into tight-knit relationships and get first-hand food-service experience in an exciting setting while working with and learning from an experienced team. Previous experience in a kitchen is not required.

The Outpost operates on an organized schedule selling food, drinks, and camp clothing to guests and staff. Outpost Assistants serve from the Welcome House by providing a welcoming atmosphere by assisting guests in finding what they need and making sure the Welcome House stays clean and tidy for families.

Working together to capture, edit, and produce media for a wide variety of audiences, the Photographer(s) help families remember special moments and celebrate the impact of camp. Photos may be used during Roundup, on social media, as parts of promotional materials, or provided to families to print and use in their own homes. Previous experience taking, editing, and producing photo content strongly preferred. Drone License encouraged but not required.

Directly responsible for caring and nurturing our youngest family campers (ages 0 to 5), the Kids’ Club Boss(es) will lead, manage, and advise the staff who serve in the Kids’ Club facility during devotional times, activity times, and Kids’ Night Out. Applicants must have a love for small children and an ambitious desire to creatively minister to and nurture children on a daily basis.

Creating and leading the fun, programmers are creatively forming, organizing, and acting out the themes and games each week! Individuals in this role should be energetic, outgoing, and comfortable speaking in front of a crowd.

The Roundup Coordinator is responsible for running media and sound at adult devotional each morning and Roundup each night. They are in close communication with each week’s speaker and musician to prepare slides, microphones, and sound for each morning and evening event, and also work alongside the Programmers to support their success at Roundup, late night events, etc.

The Work Crew Boss will work in partnership with their co-boss and is directly responsible for the 10 high school junior girls on Work Crew, both in the daily schedule of tasks and duties as well as supervising them and investing in their spiritual and emotional growth. They will lead their crew and assist them in setting up, tearing down, and bussing the Ranch House for each meal.

Central Staff members are the leadership staff and team bosses at camp, and our expectation is that Central Staff members are responsible, trustworthy, comfortable directing their peers, spiritually mature and skilled relationally. Central Staff provide emotional and spiritual encouragement and guidance while managing, supervising, and leading other camp staff in job related tasks.

The Program Crew Boss will work in partnership with their co-boss and is directly responsible for

around 10 high school junior boys on Program Crew, both in the daily schedule of tasks and duties as well as supervising them and investing in their spiritual and emotional growth. They will lead their crew and assist them in setting up for family activities, late night events, and other activities.

The Outpost Boss manages the Family Camp store, both in front of house and back of house logistics, as well as scheduling and supervising the team of Outpost Assistants. The Outpost boss is also responsible for counting/ordering inventory, and collecting/delivering mail. Operating on an organized schedule, the Outpost sells food, drinks, and camp clothing to guests and staff, and also houses an on-site office location.

The Activities Coordinator is responsible for facilitating many of the camp activities, especially some of the activities that require in-depth training, such as High Ropes/Adventure Rec, Shooting Sports, and Lifeguarding. This role is generally responsible for the setup, execution, and cleanup of all camp activities, as well as assigning staff to lead the appropriate activities.

Central Staff provide emotional and spiritual encouragement and guidance while managing, supervising, and leading other camp staff in job related tasks.

Under the supervision of the camp doctor, Healthcare Assistants administer medications, treat minor injuries and illnesses, maintain medical logs, and serve in an “on call” role in case of medical emergencies day or night. It is preferred that the applicant be pursuing nursing, medical, or EMT/paramedic education. They will assist with the overall management of the camp clinic and care of patients, including maintaining a clean clinic environment and monitoring inventory of supplies and medications.

Cooks work on small team that is responsible for the daily preparation and presentation of camp meals. In this role you will delve into tight-knit relationships and get first-hand food-service experience in an exciting setting. The Lead Cook will be responsible for helping coordinate all seasonal staff cooks, scheduling, assisting in training, coordinating with Work Crew, leading weekly devotional and fun times, and building teamwork.

The Media Boss leads the team of videographer(s) and photographer(s) in their daily duties of capturing and producing the activities, events, and moments of camp. The Media Boss should be organized, ambitious, creative, and motivating, preferably with experience in videography, video production, or photography.
